So I had my third attempt attempt at glass bending yesterday using some scraps. Helen from Ceramics suggested using the kiln to cool the glass down slowly and it worked! No cracking! So i'm going to try again today. I think today I will try some more complex bends - bending the glass back on itself and trying to create a circular shape with the glass. We'll see how that goes.
I also sand blasted a mirror which makes it look like frosted glass, i'm going to project onto it later- I cant imagine it will reflect anything but the image projected will probably stick and it could be an interesting texture to project onto.
